19th century Bronze Porthole from the SS Londoner wreck
Description
A good quality solid bronze opening porthole from the SS Londoner. This piece was salvaged from the North Sea which was the resting place for this paddle steamer which was sunk in a collision on 1893 enroute from London to Newcastle. The thick glass has cracks but still solid, the brass is heavy marked with number 11 on one hinge lug. 28 cms diameter
