Zulu Iklwa assegai spear 19th century

 A nice Zulu stabbing spear Iklwa. Long thin blade of diamond section and typical ‘zulu’ feature lugs at the base. The collar nicely made from twisted woven copper and steel wire in very good condition. Long wooden shaft of very good colour, the base with a hide ‘sleeve’ made from a shrunken animal tail. 19th century. african
