Unusually Long Anatolian Turkish Yataghan sword with damascus ‘ribbon’ blade

Description

An unusually long bladed Turkish Yataghan of interesting form. The blade good quality displaying traces of damascus ‘turksih-ribbon’ pattern welded steel for its entire length, inlaid on one side with two cartouches, one appearing to contain calligraphy perhaps a date or makers mark. The T-shaped eared hilt with black horn grips, original scabbard with brass decorated mounts. The length of this sword is most unusual, typical swords of this form are almost half to  a third shorter. 19th century.
