Unusual Naga spear with white hair decoration

A very nice and unusual Naga spear from Assam, the shaft beautifully decorated with dyed white hair with two red bands. This decoration is most unusual, typical Naga spears are red and black, it is likely the owner of this spear was of a special status, perhaps relating to tiger kills, or prowess in warfare. A rare spear, in excellent condition, retaining the origonal spiked shoe to the butt. circa 1920. southern asian
