Sudan arm dagger with ivory pommel

A small arm dagger from the Sudan or lower Nile region, the sheath made from reddish leather and applied with lizard or reptile skin. Thick twisted leather arm loop. The dagger with a short stout steel double edged blade, handle of shaped ebony black wood, the upper section with ivory inlay and a circular disc pommel made from ivory and applied with a small silver finial. Good condition, circa 1910
