Japanese Kusari-fundo ‘ninja’ Chain weapon

Am interesting and fairly rare Japanese weapon kasari fundo consisting of a chain with two weights ( fundo) at each end. Famously used in the movies by Ninja, this was a general use weapon which could be used to immobilise the opponent temporarily, Used as a hidden or concealed weapon as it can be wrapped up in a very small bundle. Different weights could be used, this example is fairly light, and almost whip like. The history of this form of weapon is very long in Japan and goes back to medieval times, this example is hard to date certainly Edo period if not older.  69 cm length
