Nice heavy Zulu War Axe 19th century

A good 19th century heavy Zulu war axe. Stout wooden cylindrical shaft shaped and becoming of flattened rectangular section at the head, very large and heavy steel blade of typical large flared ‘arrow’ shape, the shank peened over the wooden shaft on the reverse. Lovely old patina and condition, this weapon has real weight and presence in the hand, circa 1880. 33 inches overall, the blade length 13 inches approximately.
