Mindanao Moro Kris with ivory hilt 19th century

A fine quality Moro Kris from southern Mindanao, Philippines. The pommel of solid carved ivory in elaborate kakatua form in excellent condition, the grip bound with cord and a silver ferrule to the bottom. Good quality waved steel blade, original scabbard with rattan binding ( damage to top). From a British private collection formed in the 1960’s. 19th century.
