An authentic Greenland West Coast Inuit tray for holding the line of the harpoon on a hunting Kayak. Constructed with typical whalebone seat and single leg, the rest made of wood and retaining a peg for holding the tray to the decklines.Hunting for seals and whales in the kayak foten employed throwing the harpoon and reeling back in the line, making sure the line stayed untagled was obviously very important for successful hunt. Sometimes the hunter would use a white screen in front of the cockpit opening to decrease visibility to the prey. early 20th century, a rare survival
