Fine Ottoman knife Trouse mounted with gold and rubies or garnets

An exquisite small Turkish trousse containing two knives. The scabbard with elaborately embossed gold mounts, the finial with a large ball feature, the border of the locket adorned with set gemstones, rubies or garnets. The knives with light horn handles each shaped slightly differently, the lower mounts retaining their bright gold finish, each further set with gemstones. Dating to the 18th century.  middle east
