Description
A fine quality Greek cartridge case ‘Palaska’ made of solid silver and gilt allover. Decorated in repousse with designs of trophies, and floral swags, the reverse with a feature to enable it to be worn on a belt. The lid is hinged to allow the cartridges to be stored ready for use, and would have been worn in conjunction with other equipment for using the musket. Circa 1800
