Caucasian Kindjal dagger with goldwork 19th century

Attractive 19th century large kindjal from the Caucasus/Northen Turkey. The black horn hilt with gold mounted steel plaque and gold to the edges and rivets. The blade with nicely fullered central section, the forte with large gold decorated panel and a deep makers stamp in arabic. The surface of the blade displays the suggestion of watering/damascus steel. Original scabbard covered with black hide and steel hanging mount with some gold remaining.   middle eastern
