Antique Ivory Hilted Kukri Knife from Nepal

A good quality antique Nepalese kukri sword or knife. Heavy solid steel fullered blade, the forte marked with a notch, the spine thick. The blade has lines indicating a lamellar steel construction for extra strength. The hilt with steel bolsters and solid ivory grip, carved and shaped. Original black hide covered sheath with one side knife remaining. 17 inches long overall, the blade over 13 inches. Wear to sheath and lower edge cut. 19th/early 20th century. Indo Persia
