A good Hide Beja shield from the Sudan

A scarce Beja Hide shield, late 19th century. Typical thick heavy hide from a large animal, with two circular cutouts on opposin sides. Large central boss with raised ribs, the reverse with hide grip bound to the shield. Evidene of old sword cuts to the edge and boss, good condition, 24 inch diameter, some age wear to surfaces.
