A good Aboriginal shield carved from wood ‘Wunda’

A second wooden shield originating from aboriginal Western Australia, known as a Wunda shield. Carved front with classic zigzag motif depicting a snake, the carving embellished by application of pigments. The reverse wth long grooves for its length and craved wooden grip. good condition, slight wear/loss to an area on edge. Private UK collection.
