A fine Tombak Ottoman knife with Agate hilt 18th century

Description

A beautiful Turkish Ottoman knife for a noble dating to the  18th century. The hilt of solid Agate semi precious stone surmounted by a ruby stone. The mounts to the blade and the sheath of silver gilt retaining nearly all of the gold surface. The knife blade is single egded and made from damascus wootz steel, showing a tight fine whorl pattern. Good condition throughout. 35 cms long overall
