A really nice original North Indian war Mace. Spectacular head set with multiple stout four-sided spikes, with one larger set to the very top. The shaft with bulbous handgrips. The piece is offered uncleaned which adds to its history, it can be seen clearly that the head is profusely decorated with silver scroll and swirl damascening to the spherical head which survives in untouched condition. This is a large heavy example, a classic example of the Indian armoury which often created weapons in their most dramatic form. This piece dates to the early 19th century.
