Very fine and large two-handed Thai Dha sword Naga serpents silver engraved

A wonderful high quality sword from Thailand ‘ Dha’ or ‘Daab’.  Very large two handed weapon decorated exquisitely allover with very finely engraved and chiselled silver. The handle grip long and tubular, slightly curved with filigree silver binding and bands of decoration including a central section with Naga serpents. The pommel of intricate bud form. Circular silver handguard, long gently curving steel blade with thick spine retaining a very sharp edge. The scabbard beautifully decorated for its entire length with chiselled panels of animals, each one different, possibly with some gilt originally present ie on tiger stripes. 43 inches overall, blade 27 inches approx.
