Silver wire braided whip

A most interesting short whip or quirt, made entirely from fine woven silver wire. The whip section forming a cylinder shaped ‘tail’, the handle with a wooden interior, with a woven silver wire lanyard to go around the wrist. Possibly African, ..Arab, or Indian… a most unusual artefact, 19th/early 20th century.
