Silver Thai dagger – an unusual and attractive small dagger or knife dating to the late 19th century. The sheath and hilt made wholly from deeply embossed and chiselled good quality silver. Decoration of scrollwork, with two seated roaring lions eitherside of the sheath. The blade of steel, with a fuller, single edged with sharpened back edge, engraved with some calligraphy on both sides at the forte. 26.5 cms overall.
