Moroccan Nimcha sword with silver mounts and stamped blade

Description

A large North African sword probably Moroccan or Algerian Nimcha or Saif. Heavy curved steel blade with fullers, and stamped deeply with two eyelash makers markings. The entire hilt and scabbard covered and decorated with eastern silver, in bands and panels with decorative engraving and embossing. Attractive piece late 19th century
