Interesting Persian war Mace of steel with silver 19th century

Description

An interesting Persian or Turkish War Mace of heavy steel construction, with six thick steel flanges set into the head. The head with rows of silver decoration between the flanges, and retaining some silver studwork and apllique to the top, bottom ad sides of the flanges themselves.The long shaft is covered with a worn fabric type material with some cuts losses. Dark heavy patination with age wear, this style of mace was used through the Islamic medieval world and continued in use until the early 19th century, this example is probably 18th or early 19th century.
