Interesting Indonesian Javan klewang or parang sword 19th century

Interesting old Javan sword from the 19th century. Unusual hilt with curious open mouthed stylised animal with some pigment, the hilt covered with silver sheet chiselled to resemble the eyes and fur of the animals mane. Very nice heavy steel blade superbly made from layered pamor steel. Minor damage – no scabbard.  south east asia southern asia indonesian klewang
