Indo Persian Damascened Shield

An antique 19th century shield from North India, damscened allover with silver designs of scrolls and fine tendrils.  Applied with four protective hand bosses to the front, a reinforced rim, and an applied design of a coiled steel snake . The reverse with a padded hand cushion.
