Indian Tulwar sword. A nice earlier Tulwar sword, the steel hilt covered with silver gilt, much gold still remaining. Fitted with a european style firangi blade with multiple fullers, one side marked with the ‘eyelash’ mark of Genoa. The tip with a sharpened back edge for the first few inches. Nice simply but high quality example, probably late 17th/18th century. Some wear commensurate with age. 94 cms long overall
