Indian Steel lance Sang 17th century

Description

An all-steel lance from Northern India. This example has a flattened tapering spearhead, and rectangular section beneath and for the handgrip halfway along its length. The counterbalance ball to the butt has a curved spike to it, maybe originla or easily straightened if desired.  Old uncleaned dark patination from use and age.  18th century or earlier.  Deaccessioned from a British Museum
