A very interesting and dramatic 19th century Indian Mace weapon. The ball head nicely weighted and made from steel , the circumference fitted with stout four-sided spikes. The top is further surmounted by a long four-sided spike, the whole head decorated with silver damascened koftgari decoration with tendrils and silver overlay. The steel shaft with a pierced featured at the top, bands of further silver koftgari (rubbed) and the handle region with two ball shaped guards. In very good condition. 19th century 77 cms long overall.
