Indian silver Gilt ‘Tabar’ Horsemans War Axe

 A good 18th or early 19th century Indian Horsemans Axe Tabar. Large crescentic blade, the rest of the head and shaft decorated wholly with silver and gilt patterns, some age rubbing. The bottom of the shaft ends with a finial which unscrews and houses a blade within the shaft body. Northern India.
