Indian Matchlock Gun from the 18th century

Description

A nice Indian Musket dating to the 19th or early 19th century. Nice quality example with steel mounts inlaid with red lacquered borders, the barrel fixed with very decorative silver mounts, and bands of silver wire, traces of gold decoration at the breech and the centre/end. The wooden stock in good condition and displaying a lovely aged patination throughout. The matchlock firing mechanism in good working order. indo persian
