Indian Gold decorated thick bladed Katar punch dagger with original sheath and cover

An attractive Indian punch-dagger ‘Katar’ of good quality. The dark steel hilt bars decorated with gold designs throughout. Very thick and robust steel blade of crystalline wootz steel with central chiselled design, flaring boldly into an armour piercing strong sharp tip. The katar retains its original silver embroidered scabbard with woven metallic threads, and its original fabric case, again embroidered with flowers and silk, worn throughout.
