Iban Dayak Mandau sword Langgai Tinggang

 An Iban Dyak sword   ‘Langgai Tinggang’, said that the blade mimics the shape of the longest tailfeather of the hornbill bird. The handle nicely carved retaining hair inserts. The scabbard finely carved along the front and banded with brass, the steel blade with projecting guard near the forte, and sweeping curved blade with pierced and fretted back edge.
