Description

Lovely large and heavy Indian Matchlock musket, torador or Bandaq. The stock lacquered allover in bright red/orange. Very heavy steel barrel with gold covering at the breech region, and at the tip, original steel ramrod also gold covered to the tip. Barrel bindings of leather and silver wire, sideplates of iron with chiselled borders, trigger and matchholder heavily gold covered, in working condition. The stock decorated with raised silver mounts. Good condition, age wear and some old varnish.  18th century, or earlier. indo persian
