Finely decorated Steel Spiked Mace from North India

A very nice Indian Mace weapon made all from steel. The spherical head fixed with steel spikes all around its circumference, with a further spike to the the top. Decorated finely with silver in scrollwork and leaf designs. The long steel handle decorated at intervals with further silver bands of decoration, the hilt with a small circular guard and the pommel rounded again with silver decoration ( lightly worn). Dating to the 19th century, a large example of this type, one spike missing. indo persian
