A fine Philippine knife in Spanish colonial style from Luzon. The European style mounts to the hilt and sheath of suassa gold and copper alloy, engraved finely with floral and other motifs, the front locket with large calligraphic initials, and the reverse with a small arabic inscription. The grip of horn bound with wire. The blade of good steel, double edged. Late 19th century, good quality rare piece soometimes associated with the Katipunan and Philippine Revolution.
