Fine large Indian Shield with Jewelled bosses

 A large fine quality shield from Northern India. Pierced domed bosses to the front which are covered with gold, and inlaid with gems, probably rubies. The hide is probably Rhino and patterned with purplish black, the reverse with an embroidered pad and hand straps. Good condition, some stones missing, one strap broken.
