Fine Indian Khanda or Firangi sword circa 1700

Fine quality North Indian Firanghi style straight sword. The hilt richly embellished with a repeating pattern in gold allover, top spike to the pommel with bud finial. The large handguard also decorated with gold and pierced to take a lining hand cushion. The blade in fabulous condition, retaining its original ‘shine’ and surface, uncleaned patinted condition, wear to areas of goldwork.
