A rare Singhalese calligraphers set from Ceylon / Sri Lanka. The three implements of steel, a knife for trimming palm-leaf with a European makers mark, the hilt damascened with silver, a pronged palm-leaf holder again decorated with fine silver damascene-work. and a long scriber, the whole of steel but elegantly decorated in a geometric silver koftgari. Contained within a leather sheath. It is rare to find one of these sets with all three implements surviving.
