Chinese Double Dao Sword. Scarce set of two Qing dynasty period large Steel Dao sabres, contained together in one scabbard as a pair. The steel blades are in good condition, really nicely made with flared tips, and engraving at the forte region of both. The hilts mounted with large steel semi circular hand guards, the grips bound with cord. The pommels are of brass, shaped to nestle together when sheathed. The scabbard is original but has suffered some loss and damage in the past, but serves its purpose perfectly. These double swords are becoming increasingly hard to find. Late 19th century
