Bamboo hafted Thai Spears

Description

An interesting group of South East asian spears, presumable Thai or Laotian. All mounted on Bamboo shafts, with different styles of steel blades, and various collar mountings of copper and brass. Some of the spears also have shaping and chiselling to the neck of the blade. Unusually and distinct from spears from other parts of the world, some of these spears have rounded tips which are extremely sharp, rather than effecting a point for piercing. Some of the shafts may have been reduced in length, longest length 81 inches, shortest 702 approx. southern asia south east asia far east lance
