Attractive Burmese sword with silver inlaid blade

Description

 A very good quality Burmese Dha sword. The blade superbly made with silver decoration for the length of both sides of the blade. Also silver detailing to the back edge of the upper spine. The blade section is thick and sturdy, flat at the back for the first few inches and the changing the profile to a gentle curve. The hilt mounts are of silver, nice quality decoration, the grip made from copper or suassa alloy inlaid with decoration in brass or yellow metal. The pommel with raised bosses, some worn through from use. 67 cms long approx, late 19th century in date
