Antique Asian Halberd polearm

Description

A nice polearm 18th or 18th century from south east Asia. The large steel blade of very heavy construction with sharp front and back edges, the surface with chiselled decorative motifs,, and with a pierced hole to the back edge. Lower iron mount of lobed ‘lotus-leaf’ form, and mounted on its original hardwood shaft. Good condition, 79 inches approximately. 19th century.Southern Asia thai thai burma lance
