Afghan Pulwoar sword with finely pierced chiselled steel hilt

A nice Indo-Persian Afghan scimitar Tulwar or Pulwoar. All steel hilt finely chiselled pierced in the Persian style with fretwork along the hollowed cup pommel. A brass heart feature to the central grip. Drooping quillons with shaped calligraphic terminals pierced in bands. The blade good quality steel, with arrangements of fullers to both sides, and clipped back tip with sharpened back edge, 19th century.  Slight damage to fretwork pommel   indo-persian
