A rare Ottoman Suma ramrod for a pistol

 A scarce Ottoman suma ramrod for a pistol. These ramrods were unusual in that unlike the fitted ramrods used in european pistols these were carried as decorative accessories. The handle of this example is highly decorated with deep relief scrolling in eastern silver. The steel ramrod section has some ring decoration and a slightly flared end. 18th or early 19th century
