A rare early Spear from South India

 A very early and interesting Deccan spear on its original shaft. Forged iron leaf shaped blade with a series of protruding collars on the neck area, and larger rounded end.  the base finial with a large ball shaped counterweight and spike. 17th century at latest probably earlier. Approx 6.5-7 ft
