19th century Qajar steel Persian sword with calligraphy

 Very nice original attractive Persian sword in the medieval style. Steel double edged blade with arabic calligraphy for entire length on both sides, and designs with a snake and a standing demon near the blade base. The steel handle with drooping dragon head quilons guards, and dark uncleaned patina. Some signs of silver decoration surviving under this uncleaned surface. Genuine antique piece, qajar period, approximately 94 cms long.
