19th century Chinese Liuyedao Sword with watered blade

Description

 A nice Chinese sword dating to the 19th century. The blade very good quality and displaying clear patterns to the surface and along the edge, the forte unsually reinforced with a thick applied iron mount. The sword mounts of intricately detailed gilt brass, depicting intertwining dragons and scrollwork. The grip retaining original cord binding. The scabbard all original and covered with green shagreen , having a chape, hanging mounts and bar, and an upper mount or locket all still present. A very nice authentic Chinese fighting piece in good condition. far east
