19th century Bhutanese Sword

Description

 A nice antique long sword from Bhutan, featuring the characteristic heavy straight steel blade with lamellar welded pattern and rounded tip. The mounts are of brass, chiselled and with decorativer features, those mounts to the hilt are pierced through. The central section of the scabbard is covered with white rayskin, a material typically used on these swords from Bhutan and neighbouring Tibet. Circa 1850   central asia, indo persian
