Rare 19th century Zulu short Iklwa spear

 A scarce original 19th century Zulu War spear of short length Iklwa. These short type of spears are particular to the Zulu War period, and made famous in the film Zulu with Michael Caine, about the battles of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift against the British. Well forged steel blade with typical long tapering shape, shrunken hide collar and wooden haft with flaring butt. good general condition, the shaft with some old infill. 97 cms long overall, the blade 32 cms.
