Dayak Mandau sword from Borneo

A Dayak sword, mandau, from Borneo, dating to the 20th century probably earlier part. The handle nicely carved with intricate designs, heavy sword blade of steel. The scabbard with woven binding and carvings, the back with applied bark sheath with side-knife having a carved bone finial to the handle.   southern asia
