Chinese chopper with cord bound double handed grip

A large chinese or Vietnamese cleaver type Dao, two handed use, with heavy thick steel blade. Clipped point. Small shaped rectangular brass handguard, the long grip bound with coloured cotton cord. The end terminating in a large iron ring pommel. 19th century.
